One more night in Beijing...

wow...3 weeks are almost almost finished...it's actually really cold out there now...i think high is like 6 degrees today...

well...i finally get to go home tomorrow and get to STAY home for at least a week before they send me out again...

One more week...

Well...almost at the end of 2nd week in beijing...so one more week to go...btw...they finally have heat on now...no more hiding in my bed...

i'll actually be heading to HK this weekend to attend Mayze and Klayton's wedding...wife is flying in from taipei to meet me there as well...i'm a bit worry that she's travelling on her own...i can't remember if i ever mention on this blog before...she's pregnant for about 4 months now...i'm of course VERY VERY excited...and now you can see why the fact she's travelling on her own worries me...

btw...i want to post this pic awhile ago but never got the chance...i had my birthday in shanghai last month...and the hotel was nice enough to give me a card and a cake...so here it is...

Two more weeks to go...

well...just completed my first week in beijing...so 2 more weeks to go...the class is actually not going too bad...i will have more time to rest this coming week...

saw howard and the wife last nite...we did the usual thing...dinner and some casual drinking...i guess we're all getting too old to even think about partying and anything close to that...

btw...beijing is just sooooo cold...no one in the city is allowed to turn on the heat just yet...some government regulation thing i think...i'll just hide in my bed for awhile then...

Back from Thailand

well...not much i can say about thailand...didn't do any sightseeing at all...definitely hated their taxi drivers...most of them don't even know where they're going...sigh

off to shanghai next week...at least they will understand the words coming out of my mouth...i hope...ha

First October entry...

well...told you i'm lazy...haha...it has been a month since my last entry...

so quick update...just started my new job this past monday...the job involes a lot of flying...so first day on the job i was off to Singapore for the entire week...and now i'm looking at Bangkok this coming week...and maybe Shanghai the following week...guess i'll be collecting alot of air miles...

anyway...i'm actually spending my weekend preparing for work stuff...it's going to be quite chaotic for the first while...well...it's always like that when you start a new job...

well...3 more days and i'm all done here (my current job)...funny thing is...my new job is still going thru final approval process as we speak...i guess it's never a smart thing to quit your current job before the next offer is all set...oh well...they told me not to worry (my new boss has already approved it a long time ago...so just waiting for some "invisible" top management people to sign it)...sigh...

but at least i already know my first assignment...it's going to be in Singapore...never been there...will definitely bring my GRD and put it in good use...you know...somehow i made a good choice of getting the GRD instead of a DSLR...me being so lazy will probably never carry a DSLR around...and would just be a waste of money again...

Nite before Beijing...

well...just finished packing for beijing...there is really not much to pack anyway...it's only 3 days...not even going to check in any luggages...

anyway...feel like posting some random GRD pics...so here they are

Here I come Beijing

so it has been decided this morning...i'll pay beijing a little visit this weekend...this will be my second time at beijing...the last time was a couple years back in Feburary...and it was cold and dry...kinda remind me of toronto's weather...

well, i will finally get to use my new camera (Ricoh GR Digital) on this trip...it's supposed to be an awesome street photography camera...hopefully i'll come back with some decent pics...

WHAT a day...

well...let's see...i quit my job this morning...also cancel the tokyo trip due to a recent big big big "surprise" in the family...i guess life can't get any better, can it? :)

now i'll have to look for another place to go next week (without the wife this time)...and the 3 choices are:

1. Howard in Beijing
2. Min in Korea
3. people in HK

my preference is beijing for now...cause i doubt min is all settled down in Korea and i've been to HK just too many times already...plus i have weddings to go to in HK later on this year as well...decision decision...

Well..let's see how long i can keep up at this blog thing...

anyway...something about myself first...originial born in taipei...moved to toronto when i was 12...some idiot convinced me to move back to taiwan (and he left immediately to beijing right after i moved back)...me met the wife right after i came back...so i've been back for 2 and half year and we've been married for a year and half now...still need to register the marriage thing though...lol (we ARE legally married...just need to register with the local office)...


so why did i want to start this blog...actually i've recently bought a Ricoh GR Digital (it's a digital camera)...so hopefully i'll be using it quite often and post pics here...my first "real" use will be our tokyo trip later next week...the last time i was in japan was like grade 5...so it has been awhile and i don't remember a thing about tokyo other than i saw a real panda at disney (or was it the zoo?)...should be a little fun trip and we can hardly wait... :)
